Stress! And Monday Strikes Again! (DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN)

Hey Guys!

Ever had one of those days? Where nothing is going the way it should be and the temptation to either scream or bash your head against a brick wall is clouding your judgement? I'm having one as we speak and it's a curious case of the revenge of The Mondays.

Very few people know of the pure evil that is Monday, where students and employees are forced to leave their warm, comfortable beds in Arctic conditions to learn to live or live to work. It's a vicious cycle that has never been broken. Well, except in Egypt, because their weekends are on Thursday and Friday due to Friday being a day of prayer and the like. But it just means that they must hate their Saturdays as much as we hate Mondays. Or as I hate Mondays.

Most Saturday and Sunday mornings result in me waking earlier than I do to go to school, simply due to the fact that I normally start at 7am and that it takes a good 20 minutes to muster the will just to get out of bed, let alone get ready for work. But alas, the few mornings that I don't start at 7am make me relish any extra time I have with which to sleep in, which is something that has become quite unheard of within my world and is something that could be closely tied to Heaven. Lovely to think about but you won't quite know whether or not it exists until no one can hear your loud shrieks of joy and funness of the cloud roller coaster and shirtless guys. But whatever.

But there are certain perks to working in the morning. I can sleep for the rest of the day if I feel like it and can go out in the afternoon. But it also means that it’s warm enough to do domestic things around the house and clean my room, a task not attempted for at least 2 months now. The only condition that my brother gave me was that as long as I could find everything within a minute or two, he didn't care. Which is fine with me.

In my Geography class, the teacher (Sully - not his real last name lol) actually acknowledged Emily, who we had all believed to be invisible in his eyes. At the moment I’m attempting to complete the report draft that is due in a week tonight so that I can slap it on his desk tomorrow morning instead of procrastinating. This is a habit that I’m currently trying to rid myself of. And while it may sound easy to those of you that have never been labelled as a 'hardcore procrastinator' it's easy to just say that I'm lazy, which is true, but the sheer terror of assignments just makes me turn to MSN or Blogger to fill the void of time that I've just acquired.

But enough of this now, for I have to go and shower and finish this report. A big defeated sigh right here.

Monday strikes again. Well played Monday, well played.

A Tad MIA?

Hey Guys!

I knowwww, I've been totally MIA for weeks now, but my blog has been pushed to the back of my mind in the midst of it all. My makeup collection has swelled, my hair is different, my room is different, my friends are a bit different, a lot has changed from how I was a few weeks ago. My mum came home, my brother dropped out of uni and I'm going to an independant college to do my Diploma of Specialist Makeup Services for next year! So in 2012, I'll be a fully licensed makeup artist and I'm SOOOOO EXCITED!

It's my school Athletics Carnival on Wednesday, which means that I get to dress up in a kooky costume and spend time with my equally kooky friends.

Am going out to buy some new things to help organise and store my makeup tomorrow, as I'm expecting another parcel full of makeup and I don't have enough room in my drawer sets for the last 2 parcels. Haven't been able to go to Officeworks to go and get that 12 drawer trolley set thing yet, but I intend to before my last term of high school. For like, ever. I just know that I'm going to bawl my eyes out at graduation. And then again during the speeches at the formal, an event that I still don't have any idea of what dress I'm wearing to. I did promise Joel that it would be purple, although I was going to have pink, it's easier for him to match if I'm the purple monster. lol.

It's getting pretty darn late here and I need to go to bed, it's a big day for me tomorrow!
Good to be back!

Good Morning! I have just woken up to a clear, blue sky. No clouds today! Am so happy that I have to do errands and pay bills today so that I can spend as much time as I want outside. I'm still in my snuggly robe with bed hair, so no FOTD until this afternoon. I have made a bento for me to have while I'm out today as well and even made deco nails to wear to my work training this morning. But I left my GHD at Elfy's, so it means that this messy bed hair will be todays look, so I might do a 'hot-mess' sort of eye.

Yesterday was fun spending time with my Dad. We were going to see Toy Story 3, but my brother Anthony started to feel sick so we just went for lunch instead. Had a big 'doh' moment too, as we were trying to all fit in Dad's ute, not even thinking of the family 5 seater sitting idle in the garage. Have to buy more yummy strawberries today! Strawberry season has started early this year and dunking fresh berries in melted chocolate helps to ease the cold of winter. And hot chocolate.

I have to start getting ready so that I can leave in an hour, so I might update later on with my FOTD.

Enjoy the sun while you can and as many berries.

Good Morning!

AHH!! The cloudy days are over and today I can see a really pretty blue sky. Still some clouds around, but now I don't feel all 'blah' from grey overload. Passing the time before my Dad gets here and adventures ensue. Today I have no housework! NOTHING! Lol it has really made my morning so that I can have a lazy day, hihi.

Today's face is pretty basic, cause I have no idea what we might do today so I just opted to have the same face as I do for school. I also stole my best friend's scarf when I left her place yesterday and she forgot to re-steal when she took me home. Wasn't going to remind her hihi.

Today it's all about the lashes and the skin using Maybelline products. I know that some people like to collect MAC products, but I always manage to veer towards the Maybelline stand in the store.

Last night I also went online and bought an 88 matte palette for $13 including shipping. The exact same as Coastal Scents only the case doesn't have the Coastal Scents logo on it, which I like. Trying to shake up my Face of the Days - even though this is my third FOTD - and get some colour in. It also helps me practice new techniques and all that jazz on myself and then attempting on other people.

Well my Dad will be here anytime now so I need to pack my bag for the day. Fill you all in on my adventures later!

Bronze Look

Hey Guys, this is just another add to my whole face of the day thing that I normally keep to facebook but have decided to also add to my blog here and on my twitter. It's using a different colour BYS palette, my Urban Decay Primer Potion and Maybelline gel liner.

I had to cancel my brow appointment today, so they're still a bit feral :(.

Do you guys ever do a face of the day thing or know anyone that does? Comment and link me bellow!

It's raining and it's cold here, so I'm going to go and play Mass Effect in the lounge. Night guys!

A Purple Look

Hey Guys!

Again, I'm getting bad at posting, but meh for now. Still holidays and I'm totally bored. Came up with this really cute business idea that I wrote a plan and timeline for. More details at a later date.

As the title suggests, I have a makeup look for you all. I bought this el cheapo BYS metallics palette today and thought to give a try-out and mini review. It's the pinks and purple palette that has 8 shadows for $5. Overall, I will use this product again but not everyday. The shadows are talc based and smell like baby powder, but aren't overly chalky and contain a decent amount of pigment. Pretty easy to blend as they're metallic, but they aren't crease-proof. I ran out of my Urban Decay Primer Potion so I just used my everyday face primer instead. There is a very mild crease at the moment, but I can't really give any more info about creasing until later on tonight.

This is my attempt at a more day-appropriate look using the Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Liner in Charcoal, inner highlight has a small swipe and blend of Maybelline Shadow Stylist in Contempory White, glitter spots are made by the BYS Glitter Mascara in 01 Silver Glitter and mascara is Maybelline Collosal Volum' Express in Black. Excuse my brows, I have an appointment with my brow stylist tomorrow. Think the look would be better if I was wearing some blue circle lens, rather than have my eye colour au naturale.

Going out to Elfy's tonight, which should be fun. Trying to gather the motivation to pack, but it's hard lol. I'm going to do a coppery sort of Arabic inspired look using the other palette that I picked up today. The coppery palette is much more pigmented than the purple palette, but both shadows work well. I might re-do it later as a dramatic night look using a darker purple and some false lashes.

Later!

HOLIDAYS!

YAAAAAY! It's the second day of the school holidays today and I'm still in my pjs with unkempt hair and no makeup. Go me.

Have come up with a solution to this whole 'poor' thing that I've had happen lately. So came the birth of my new business baby, 'Sunny Bunny Cashmere' bath and beauty. It will be similar to Lush in that it's handmade bath goodies, but with my own twist; and totally bad-arse packaging.

Coming up with product and packaging ideas on here while Red vs Blue season 3 blares in the background.

Going grocery shopping tomorrow and the sad thing is, I'm actually happy to be getting out of the house and being surrounded by fresh produce and meats. Making souvlaki for dinner tonight for the boy and it's spinach and ricotta cannelloni for me.

Well, it's back to business plans and then housework. I hate my holidays sometimes.

Another one?!

Hey guys!

Ok, so on my mission to try and stop being lazy with my blog and my twitter I'm trying to at least click on them and put in any new stuff that is worth mentioning. Like nothing, except that I got my 15 concealor palette in the mail today! So happy when I got home and checked the box to find it sitting there. Now I just need to receive my 28 blush palette and it'll be all prettyful! Excuse my flamboyance this afternoon, but I'm trying to perk myself up before I go to work tonight. :*(

There is my new baby! I tested a few out on my hand and it feels pretty good, but the real test will be tomorrow for a full day at hectic school, as I'm already wearing a full face for work.

Well I had better love you and leave you guys, as I want to get to work early today so I can read a magazine or grab a quick bite. Hihi

Until my review!

Hump Day :(

Hey guys!

Only a few more days until my exam block starts and I'm so nervous! Hopefully everything will go so that I pass my math. Lol and everything else. Just got home from Coles, actually, cause the new DOLLY and SHOP came out today (along with the new Cosmo, but that can wait) and naturally I always buy DOLLY and SHOP has Alexa Chung on the cover.

School again tomorrow :( I so can't wait for the holidays so that I can sleep in! Going to make a list of all the things that I plan to do over the holidays:

Enrol at the Fashion School in Brisbane and start a course in Fashion Marketing
Grow my face chart portfolio
Clean my room from top to bottom
Volunteer for a charity or do something for charity
Continue planning for the fashion show (more ahead!)
Grow my journalism portfolio
Grow my trend hunting portfolio

Sounds like a lot but I'm hoping that I find time to do it all. A lot of portfolios in there too, which are important for anything to do with the future and my career!

About this whole 'planning for the fashion show': my friend Jane wants to do a fashion show to raise money for our formal. And because she knows that I like organising and all that jazz has asked me to be the makeup girl for the event, but I also want to contribute to planning. There will be models and music and nice clothes and gorge makeup (have to talk myself up, lol) that even if we don't raise much money, it'll still be fun.

Well there are oreas, Dare expresso and new magazines on my bed waiting to be read, so I'll leave you guys for now.

TGIF!

Well guys it's an eventful day here.

I'm off school sick again, which I don't quite understand. Before it all I never got sick and now I seem to be in a permanent state of cold symptoms. Woke up this morning sounding like a homeless chain cigar smoker that was also a soul singer in their spare time. Yeah,my voice was really that bad.

While staying over at Elf's on Wednesday so we could go shopping instead of go to study (naughty naughty me. lol) I bought a really cute fleecy beanie type thing that is in the shape of a Chocobo from Final Fantasy. Take a looksi:
I look a tad demented when I wear it but it keeps me toasty. And I also bought a phone charm of Yuna in FFX.

But enough of geeky-ness, apart from giving a general update, I also logged on to give my own mini review of a foundation that I picked up during my adventures yesterday. The Australis Mineral Inject Liquid Foundation (on sale at Priceline for $12) has an SPF and doesn't clog pores. It's also housed in a handy pump bottle. I tried this foundation this morning (as I was going to school until I was told to stay home and see the Doc) and am still wearing it now, in a state of total unimpressed-ness. It applied fine and gives a sheer coverage, but by about midday there were patches in a couple areas of built-up product and my face feels like I dunked my head into a (cold and turned off) deep fryer. Short answer: if it wasn't so cheap I wouldn't have bought it.

Oh and I also received another foundation today in the mail: Rimmel 16Hour Matte Mousse Foundation at a grand total of $11.90 including postage. I'm just about to wash my face and test this out, so its a case of WATCH THIS SPACE for now.

And awaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy.

Stupid Supports.....grumble......grumble.....

Hey guys

Just a quick update from me today. It's been forever since I last posted too, so you'll have to forgive me! All has been quite here in my world, with the only real difference being that my wrist is the size of a tennis ball and I'm typing with only one hand at a snail's pace.

The reason as to why my hand is so swollen is that I have quite a severe case of RSI of my left wrist and thumb. Joy, for when you're a gamer like me it doesn't matter if your thumb is cut OFF you still grab that controller and go for your life. Especially after finally downloading the almost forgotten DLC for ME2 (Kasumi and her mission) that an all night gaming session with which to first do her mission and then switch to Assassins Creed 2. It's a non-negiotable fact.

E3 in 13 days and I'm bouncing off the walls in anticipation, as a trailer and more will be shown in regards to Gears of War 3 that will be released sometime next year. LOSING.CONTROL.OF.BLADDER.IN.ANTICIPATION.OF.COMING.AWESOMENESS! If you know anything at all about me, is that I have a really big thing for shooting/action and slasher games, but I turn into a total wimp if it's even remotely creepy or scary, which is why I haven't played anymore than about 45 minutes of Bioshock, but am pretty damn proud of making it to the mueseum parts in Condemned 2.

On a side note, I'm on my third playthrough of ME2 and have only just gotten sucked into the world of Assassins Creed, although I've already seen 'The Truth' and know how it ends. But it's still pretty kick arse to assassinate people though.

NOT COOKING TONIGHT! When I went out today to pay rent and get milk (forgetting the glad wrap, naturally) the boy had the idea to buy Subway for dinner so that I wouldn't have to cook.

Watched the new sci-fi movie 'Moon' not that long ago too. Definately something for the people that enjoy true sci-fi, cause its pretty cool. But anyway, Top Gear should be starting about now and considering I really like the voice of Richard Hammond (yeah, I'm someone that enjoys listening to voices, go me) its time to go and watch these lucky bastards bugger around with fast and expensive cars that I can never afford. But whatever.

Talk to you guys later!

Stress! And Monday Strikes Again! (DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN)

Hey Guys!

Ever had one of those days? Where nothing is going the way it should be and the temptation to either scream and bash your head against a brick wall is clouding your judgement? I'm having one as we speak and it's a curious case of the revenge of The Mondays.

Very few now of the pure evil that is Monday, where students and employees are forced to leave their warm, comfortable beds in Arctic conditions to learn to live or live to work. It's a vicious cycle that has never been broken. Well, except in Egypt, cause their weekends are on Thursday and Friday due to Friday being a day of prayer and the like. But it just means that they must hate their Saturdays as much as we hate Mondays. Or as I hate Mondays.

Most Saturday and Sunday mornings result in me waking earlier than I do to go to school, simply due to the fact that I normally start at 7 and it takes a good 20 minutes to muster the will to get out of bed, let alone get ready for work. But alas, the few mornings that I don't start at 7 make me relish any extra time I have with which to sleep in, which is something that has become quite unheard of within my world and is something that could be closely tied to Heaven. Lovely to think about but you won't quite know whether or not it exists until no one can hear you.

But there are certain perks to working in the morning. I can sleep for the rest of the day if I feel like it and can go out in the afternoon. But it also means that it is warm enough to do domestic things around the house and clean my room, a task not attempted for at least 2 months now. The only condition that my brother gave me was that as long as I could find everything within a minute or two, he didn't care. Which is fine with me.

In my Geography class, the teacher (Sully - not his real last name lol) actually acknowledged Emily, who we had all believed to be invisible in his eyes. Am now completing the report that was due today tonight so that I can slap it on his desk tomorrow morning instead of procrastinating. Which is a habit that I'm currently trying to rid myself of. And while it may sound easy to those of you that have never been labelled as a 'harcore procrastinator' it's easy to just say that I'm lazy, which is true, but the sheer terror of assignments just makes me turn to MSN or Blogger to fill the void of time that I've just acquired.

But enough of this now, for I have to go and shower and finish this report. A big defeated sigh right here.

Monday strikes again. Well played Monday.

Today's Bento

Have got an extra few minutes to spare this morning cause I'm not having breakfast (weetbix on the go in a HK cup) and just used the new strawberry bento for the first time! Although I did have some trouble with the seller (he sent me the wrong bag!) I haven't heard from him in over a week and have just given up :(. So using the leftovers of the other night's lasagne from the newest teen chef, it's quite neat and yummy looking. Don't be fooled by the size of the box; its thicker than the new Nintendo DS XL, but length and width are about the same.
What the box looks like and me in my jim jams.
The yummy goodness inside! Soy penguin dogs and carrot and cucumber. There isn't any fruit in the house :(.

Well I need to finish my make up and somehow tidy the nest of bedhair piled atop of my head.
Wish me luck!

<<<<<<<<<<<
Hello All

Back again for some blogging. I was looking over it and realised that I really don't spend so much time on it anymore and that I should commit to this human-blog relationship. The City is on my TV in the background. As a reality TV virgin, MTV is suprisingly not that bad.

My day has been suprisingly average. I had a study day today, cause its Thursday and with the horrible weather the temptation to just throw myself back into the covers and scream 'I'M NOT GOING!" at the top of my lungs. I must say, that, for an expert procrastinator, is the worlds most difficult task.

So excited this morning, cause I got to test out my new Hello Kitt pancake pan, the newest edition to my Kitty-fied domain. I burnt some of them but they look so cute! Naturally I have to include my attempt:

Covered in whipped cream and strawberries ($7 a punnet! The curse of Winter!Argh!) they were really yummy. Well, except for the burnt ones.

My phone just went off. I can't understand why some people are so glued to their phones sometimes.

Well, its almost 6pm and before long my brother may very well just gnaw a big hole into my door and we're renting, so not good.

So with that I leave you! Tonight is roast potatoes, vege and schnitzel. Yum!

Oh and that short story that I posted a bit ago? I got an A- for it. Not bad for something hastily written 4 hours before it was handed in.

Hey guys

Was going to spend some time today and maybe do a bit more on my blog and add pics to my bento book, but domestic things have to be done. Including laundry. :(

But never mind, for when I finish I want to make tomorrow's bento (in the new box; the ice cream set came on Friday!) and I will try and take a photo.

Really wanted to spend today cleaning out my closet and make way for some new winter clothes on my day off (ANZAC Day holiday here!) and re arrange my bedroom.

So I guess today is a shout out for all those that are spending the day doing household chores.

New Bento Oops

Lol I said I bought new a new bento but didn't attach a pic. Doh!

New Bento and Purikura

Hey Guys

Been really lazy as of late when it comes to updating ANYTHING but with the return of school means that I have to continue work. Been having a bit of slump week in terms of mood but the sunshine of this morning (albeit there are a few grey clouds lurking in my perfect blue sky but it shouldn't rain til later) and a good night sleep does wonders. Well, that and discovering a really cute new site to use all my printer's ink with lol.

Purikura! The art of taking photos and putting new, cute frames, 'stickers', asian phrases etc onto the picture to make it animated (excuse the pun, lol) and then printing it off. In Japan they have booths where you take the pics and then have a big screen to change them with. I think they also have sticky backs. But anyway, here in country-ish (not big enough to call a 'suburb of sorts' but not small enough to call inbred and middle of nowhere) Australia that doesn't exist. Hell we don't even have normal photo booths here. Sigh.

But this site is free and you don't have to sign up for an account if you don't want to (excuse the sales tone of my voice. I get like this when I discuss hair heat stylers or anything skin care.I'm a little ashamed of this lol) but unless you crop it out, there will be a small banner at the bottom of the 'done' pic for advertising purposes. http://www.puricute.com/

I did my 1st purikura pic to my facebook profile pic last night. Ta - Da!

Since I would be using it for my facebook, I didn't go too OTT with stickers and deco.

OOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOH! I also bought a new bento today. It's been so long since I've been bothered to make cute bento or cute nails. Getting back into the swing of things!

Anyway, my battery is about to die and it's cereal-for-lunch o'clock.

Shopping Weekend Buys

So excuse my lazyness over not taking pics sooner. I still can't find my camera batteries and NO, they're not in my camera. Scarily enough that's happened where I thought I had list my batteries and they were in my camera the whole time; I was pressing the wrong button to try and turn it on. Sigh, but anyway.

The last weekend was filled with shopping (and I also went and saw Kick Ass, more on that later) and while I am now completely broke and it's good to see that there are things in my wardrobe and on my desk to compensate. Moving On!

Ok, now I'm still new to this whole Blogger thing, so I haven't quite figured out how to do typing directly above pics so instead will just make a list up here of each thing. Oh and the clothes were taken in the morning and everything else at night. I just used the camera that's integrated with my laptop so excuse the quality!

1. Top from Supre. French-themed fashion is everywhere lately and this top is really cute. Not exactly winter-y, but meh.
2. My laptop! Got woken up on Thursday morning by my Mum who said
"Wake up and get dressed, we have errands to do and we might look about getting your laptop." Um, hell yes?
3. GHDs. I actually got these for my 17th (22nd of March) but this is the 1st time that I've documented their existence.
4. Earring from eQUIP. These were on sale at $7 off and are so cute! I don't really like wearing dangly earrings but I'm going to try these at least once.
5. Tofu plush mobile phone holder. Another item I haven't been able to document. Have had this for a few weeks and it looks really cute next to my HK bedside table.
6. Assorted gum from the international food store in town. I don't really like gum but these were really cute to not spend a few dollars. Don't want to open them!
7. My limited edition Hanari Tofu Reindeer Plush. This still has tags and was only sold in Japan. An eBay find a few weeks back.
8. VS Sasson hair dryer on sale at Harvey Norman. I've never owned my own so thought it was time to break the bank and spend (GASP! SHOCK! HORROR!) $19 on a new one. It's actually really good.
9. Hello Kitty head bands! I didn't actually buy these but when we got home from shopping my Mum pulled them from her bag. I haven't worn them yet but they're so cute!
10. Supre A'Line Cardi. Supre was having a big 20% off everything sale so I bought a few newpieces from there. This was meant to show my Mum that I at least TRIED to buy winter clothes. Try being the key word here. lol
11. French tee from Cotton On. I originally saw this in an issue of Dolly or Girlfriend for $24.95. I bought it on sale at $5.
12. Purple top frpm Target. I haven't really got anything to say about this one, except that it has a cool design and fabric contrast.
13. National Compliments Day (which is today!) top from Supre. I wore this on the second shopping trip and felt like such a Supre addict when I went up to the counter to pay for the second wave of clothes (the rack that they were on was right next to the counter and the girl that served me was wearing one too. Love those girls.).
14. Faux necklace top by Free Fusion at Target. I don't normally fit into their clothes but this top fit like a charm. On sale too.
15. Oversized Bow Top again, from Supre. And, yet again, the salesgirl was wearing this top and she looked really cute, so hence, it was run and grab while she bagged up my other items.

New laptop! I'm typing on it now!
And I think that now that's it for the shopping part. On Sunday the family went out to lunch at Sizzlers and we went and saw the new movie Kick Ass, which has Aaron Johnson from the Angus movie and McLovin from Superbad in it. A lot of parent groups have slammed the movie cause the main girl that swears and kills people in awesome ways is 11 and that it's advertised for kids. As you will find yourself aware of as of now, I hold a very high level of contempt for any parent and religious group that bitches about the ratings system and of violence in movie and (in particular, this annoys me the most) video games. It's a very simple case of 'Don't like it? Don't let your kids play/ see it." Pretty damn simple really.

I remember that there was so much hooha when they released Condemned 2:Bloodshot. I've played the game and while it has graphics that are photo-realistic and it's in first person, people seem to forget that it was violent and bloody FOR A REASON. In the game your in the 'condemned' parts of the city where people are killing everyone around them and when you're going a tad insane yourself and have no real weapon to defend yourself, natural human reaction is to just find whatever you can and stay alive. Your tracking a serial killer!

But enough of that now. I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your day while I go and play Gears of War 2 on the new TV. Another game named and shamed by parents for it's MA15+ content. Guess I'm going to Hell then. Better see if I can reserve a front seat ticket.

talk to you later

Just a quick update before I hit the hay.

Went out today to do a bit more shopping (even after the big expedition that was had yesterday; pics of my purchases and all that jazz will be up when I find my camera batteries! :( ) and apart from buying a few more tops and a cute PRINCESS lanyard, I also scored myself a new desk.

While it isn't the best color (I wanted white but they only had one colour!) it is brand new and semi-completed. It's 1:30am here and I only just got out of the shower. If I look to my right I can see the left over pieces of it on my floor that will be assembled into the hutch that will go on top tomorrow.

Just me and my blue Hello Kitty sheets tonight as I'm sitting up in bed (makeup-less face in all it's glory) nursing a bleeding finger that I just slammed into my window (its bleeding from under the nail. Owie) and bid you all good night. Lots of assignment work and the like that need to be completed before school resumes on Tuesday. Let's hope for the best!

love you lovelies
julia

Oops! I almost forgot to include a quick pic!

Tokyo Trip Plans

Hi All, me again.

Well, since my last post, things that are good and things that are bad have happened in my world. I won't be going into specifics, but its not looking good. But back to the title of this post.

Tokyo Trip Plans!
I've always wanted to go there ever since I learnt it was where Hello Kitty came from. Well, I got a suprise yesterday from my Mum; she said that if I saved up to pay my way there, she would pay for a return ticket to Tokyo when I turn 18. SO HAPPY! I really want to stay 16 odd days, but I'm going to aim to save enough for a week and any extra that I can save on top of it will simply go to a shopping fund.

After just reading the last blog post from Foki (she missed her flight! But she's back on her way to Sweden now) and all those beautiful images of Tokyo it's only made me want to turn everything into a reality.

Grr. I'm trying to call my best friend Elfy so that I can finalise our plans for Friday, which involves lots of shopping! I love shopping but she's a recenssionista and I'm a bit impulsive, so it's always good to get another person's opinion in case I decide on something thats just unnecessary. But she isn't answering her phone! I know it's a tad early but she is meant to be here in a few hours! Cry and sob loudly.

Anyway, I really need to get out of bed and grab a cup of tea so that I'm fully awake for when Elfy gets here.

love you lovelies!

My Short Story for English - Othello Scene Re-Worked

I just finished typing up my short story for English; we had to take a scene from Othello and re-work it so it was more modern but we could still know who each character was. For mine I re-did the killing of Emilia at the hands of Iago. It's a bit long but I'm proud of it! My enter key isn't working either.

She was running as fast as her body would allow. Sweat dripped from her forehead and She made quick swipes to clarify her vision. If She was caught, it would spell a horrible, bloody death at the hands of the city's current night demon: SeKill10. The man, who had a body count of twelve found victims, had executed each victim in more numerously grizzly ways than the last. However, each  time another victim was discovered, they had all possessed the same bone-chilling similarity; their fingers had been hacked from their hands and crudely crammed down their throats, with their eyes ripped from their sockets and clasped in each individual hand.
However, the Forensic Unit's lead investigator had remained adamant that this was not how they had died, but her Superiors determined that she was not to release that vital shred of information to the public; lest the precinct be over stretched and forced to deal with protesters.
Terrifyingly enough, He had appeared completely average, apologetic, even, when She had confronted him in regard to the rumor He had dispersed within the precinct pertaining to the Commissioner and his wife. She had felt furious upon learning that anyone would choose to believe his elaboration on the friendship shared between the Commissioner's wife and his trusted Captain. Little did She know (that something that could be so easily misconstrued as petty by an outsider) would result in her death chase. It was only hours earlier that had teamed together to compile an update to the SeKill10 profile with which was to aid in the narrowing down of potential suspects; and He could not have been further from polar opposite of the profile.
After thoroughly examining each crime scene carefully, She had been able to predestine his methods of choice and the pattern that was fast becoming his trademark. The infamous SeKill10 was brutal and relentless and this only rattled her further as fragments of the police report She had written earlier flooded back to her. He was a sociopath, incapable of feeling remorse and his cruel actions were fueled by his own selfish desires. He perceived both the atrocities and investigation as a game; one that He enjoyed immensely, like a cat that caught a mouse and is having a particularly large amount of festivity in watching it struggles to scurry away. But this was what He lived for, the very reason with which He breathed and employed a face of total sobriety in his day to day activities.
His last victim had been much more conspicuous. A seventeen year old police intern, was found i an abandoned warehouse and had the same similarities as her fellow victims. But, when She was called down to the lab and informed of the cause of death, She was forced to remain upright with the help of a nearby workbench, as She had almost thrown up. SeKill10 had slit the intern from sternum to pelvis, removed her intestinal tracts ad had strangled her with them in her remaining minutes of life. It sickened her to the core.
Running still, She was able to make out the dark shape of a an ample building ahead and sprinted toward it as fast as her exhausted frame would permit. As She approached it, She recognized it as the derelict hotel far from the city's outskirts. She flew up the stairs and burst through the door, frightening several local rats in the process. Eyes darting from left to right and back again, She recalled a rough sense of direction as She scrambled to where the hotel restaurant's kitchen once was. As soon as She was inside, she barred the doors with a misplaced oven and leaned on it, She slowly slid to the ground and caught her breath.
But it took only seconds for him to find her and He charged at the door like an ox before He victoriously entered the dilapidated kitchen. She had only seconds to awkwardly rise from the floor before He lunged and knocked her unconscious. She crumpled to the floor and could groggily reminisce the feeling as her form was dragged from the room. She was at his mercy now and He looked at her with triumphant eyes.
She awoke with her head swimming and eyes sensitive to the bright, white light that hung from a single light bulb above her head. It did, however, only take her seconds to register the previous events and in doing so, She jerked her torso in an attempt to sit upright, only to be thrust down again by the rusty chains attached to her wrists and ankles. She heard slow, controlled footsteps behind her as He removed his form from the shadows and sidled to her side. He smirked, which only contributed to her overwhelming anxiety and fear.
"It's good to see that you're awake. I was starting to think that I might have been to heavy handed and ended the fun before it even had a chance to blossom into something extraordinary." He was taking pleasure in seeing her nerve dissolve and her human instincts to settle in. She took a deep breath before she uttered her response.
"All I have is one question." Her voice was beginning to give up on her as sheer terror replaced coherent thought. His curiosity got the better of him and he tilted his head to the side attentively. She shivered at his interest.
"Why the Commissioner? Why the Captain? Why are you doing this? Why....... - She was cut off as He placed a hand over her mouth to silence her.
"Because," He replied smoothly "It was about time that the Captain and the Commissioner were reminded of how the order of the world is to be. We can't have a black superior for he will taint us as he did his wife and the Captain. The position that was and still is rightfully mine will not be tarnished by your slander." He made reference to the snippet of conversation He had heard earlier between herself and the Captain.
"And besides," He continued. "There is nothing you nor the universe can do; my will has been done and she lives no more. I have already seen to it that the Commissioner listened to me and has disposed of the one he holds dear." Her eyes widened upon this realization and She struggled harder.
"But the question now is what to make of you. I cannot let you leave, for you would do everything in your power to hinder my progress and that would just ruin my merriment." He made his way to a wooden hardware bench across the room and picked up a tool. And the last thing that She heard was her own blood-curdling scream as it flooded the basement of the hotel.

Wow!

Sorry guys! It's now been 3 weeks since I last posted! Been completely swamped with school work and all wrapped in finishing Mass Effect. Still haven't even gotten hold of a copy of the new Final Fantasy yet, but apparently the graphics are orgasmic.

My brother is spending the night with a friend of his up in Brisbane (where he goes to Uni) so I've been given free reign over his computer for (cough) 'some quality assignment time'. Which involves Facebook and AsiaJam forums to keep up my concentration. But in all actuality all of my assignments are being pushed back to next term, which is great when you're a major procrastinator, much like me. But today has been quite bearable and I've only had to withdraw one small, teeny-tiny excuse as to why my modern history draft has not made its way to The Van's desk in time for the holidays.

I've even found time to get off my lazy butt and make a much needed trip to the library, which resulted in only two teen fiction books, the Marie Antoinette DVD (the one with Kirsten Dunst) and a towering pile of Seventeen magazines. Suffice to say, I've read both books and copied the relevant pages that I wanted from Seventeen (I only get them for the beauty section) that has left me with a ravenous desire for literary knowledge. AKA an adult fiction book, much like Zoe Foster or the brilliant Dan Brown. And just in case you were not aware, I have an almost obsession with Dan Brown literature since I first read The DaVinci Code.

I've also reached the conclusion that I wouldn't mind placing pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and penning my own slice of literary excellence. But for now, I think I'll just stick with the goal of becoming a features writer for Girlfriend or Dolly magazine. Started an official budget for my Tokyo trip too. At a rough approximate, it's going to cost me about $9000 for a trip that will let me have fun and do some sight-seeing and shopping, but still have to budget accordingly.

Oh and with all the current formal dress madness that is currently gripping my group, I sat down and sleuthed through Seventeen's Prom Dress Finder, with mixed reviews on how American girls do things and what's ultimately cool or lame. I have a really girly girl style, so I want my dress to reflect that, but I also was perusing through one of my Cosmo magazines and found a pair of chunky, black, 4 inch, strappy heels that had silver pyramid studs on them. So now I'm on a mission to find something similar (as I have giant feet) or find black shoes that are similar and just glue on silver studs. Pair that with a delicate, girly dress and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the juxtaposition between the two!

Unfortunately, my english short story is refusing to cooperate and write itself, so I must leave the internet and give my digits a workout. But I'll leave you with some of the dress images I saved to my hard drive.

How cute! So far the white ruffles and Katy's cute floral strapless number are battling it out head-on!

Any who, I have some serious work to do over a cup of java.

Julie and Julia

Have just finished watching the movie Julie and Julia. Based on 2 true stories of both culinary legend Julia Child and (now) writer Julie Powell, I can say with confidence that no other movie has really made me finish it with such a happy, buzzy feeling.

Such an idea has now caused me to re-ignite the whirling frenzy I used to get into while in the kitchen, frantically scrawling another chapter for my book or just appreciating how even the small things add up to something truly inspirational.

New Layout and Update on Me!

It's just another rainy afternoon here and I have free reign over the computer............RUN! Lol, I thought it was time for a new layout because I was getting sick of the old one and the titles and colours and everything was just starting to look totally wrong. But I actually have some really exciting (on my part, at least) news!

A while ago my Mum got engaged to Andy and he came over to Australia from the UK and was here for a few months until his visa expired. But anyway he got a PERMANENT visa a few weeks ago and now I get to go to the airport with the family in the really early hours of tomorrow morning to go and pick him up!

Also I was playing around with make up on the weekend (in between playing Mass Effect 2. BEST.RPG.EVER.) and taught myself how to do this really cool look. It's a feature eye, but the eyelid is pink leopard print! It take a hellava lot of patience and some practice with liquid liner, although the end look is completely kooky cool. It reminds me of my best friend Elf (she has a crazy obsession with anything leopard print) and Barbie. If I find time later on I'll re-do the look and picture document.

Sigh I have to go and get everything ready for tomorrow morning, so that when I turn onto autopilot (due to the hour) it's all lain out.

Love julia

Just something I thought of

Does anyone else NOT have a nickname? All my friends have nicknames and names that can give them multiple nicknames but I don't! Julia, wow, what a nickname capable name...........

Back Again!

Hey Guys!
Ugh I know it seems like FOREVER since I was last on here. But upon starting year 12 and work and all the other human things, it seems like life would be easier if we could just flick a switch and stay awake for x amount of hours. Oh and I also have a new website to add to my (up and coming) list of cool sites. I cam across this one not that long ago and it's such a money saver. Its www.vvshu.com and you can view tons of Japanese magazine scans for free. I know that a couple weeks ago they also included the 2010 CUTIE room Book and it's made me almost hate my own room. Anyway I got to start getting reading for work (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME! *Gets dragged off against will*)

Kawaii Stationary Alert!

Hey Guys!

It's getting close to that time of year (here is Aus, at any rate) when back to school shopping starts! Personally, I love stationary and kawaii, asian stationary makes going back to school a lot easier to handle. But because a lot of the items that I buy from eBay are from Hong Kong, Japan or the UK, they can take WEEKS to get here, so when I need stationary for school, I still buy online but it's from an Australian site. And YES, Australian sites that stock cute Kamio or Crux stationary DO exist. This year I'll be in year 12, so I need to be more organised and use my time wisely.

I've just read over what I typed and I soud like a broken, advertisement record. I love these sites to death which is why I like to prattle on about them to anyone that will listen, 'cause the people behind the site have to live as well. Ok, so here is just the only three that I could find with pretty reasonable prices:
http://www.kawaii-imports.com.au/
http://www.aiko.com.au/
http://www.happytreasure.com/

For the best shipping, Aiko is ruler, 'cause they charge a flat shipping rate of $6.50, regardless of how much you buy and it's also registered post.
For best payment options, Happy Treasure wins, because you can use credit card, paypal, money order or bank deposit.
Kawaii Imports stock a bit more than just stationary and they also accept direct deposit.

I just put a small order through KI for these items:

Lotsa love!

Just another quick thing.

I just looked at my little thing at the bottom of my last post and noticed that it says it's currently 6:27am. Until I figure out how to undo this setting, the clock thing is 6 hours fast. It's only 12:29am here!

Just a Quick Shout Out!

Hey Guys!
Am just about to tuck myself in the couch for a Family Guy marathon (Sweet! Hehehehehehehehehehehehe.....) and thought to show you the new bento that I bought from eBay today.
Isn't it gorgeous? At the moment I'm having a real thing for My Melody and when I typed it into the search bar, this popped right up! I'll post up a pic when I 'christian' it with some cute HK onigiri.

Just a quick update

Have put in my order for some cute new nail bit and bobs. So when they arrive, I'll take a few pics and show you my nails for that day. Had to work this morning (blurgh 'cause I worked last night as well) and will have to go to bed so I can get up early and work again tomorrow morning. But was online and found some really cute nail images on Flickr (is there anything that site CAN'T do?) for inspiration when I make nails for myself and my BFFs for the first week of school. It's scary to believe that it's our final year of high school. Ever!
Hope everyone had a Good New Year!

lotsa love
Julia

Oh so cute!
